About Woodsy Wonder
Woodsy Wonder is a foraging school in the Portland, Oregon area, founded in 2026 by Sarah Hawkins. We offer classes to learn how to safely identify and confidently harvest edible plants and mushrooms.
“Foraging is an act of self-reliance. Self-sufficiency is liberation. Every meal gathered from the wild without currency, advertising, middlemen, or industrial processing is a step towards independence and a deeper relationship with the natural world.”
Woodsy Wonder supports learning for all, regardless of age, gender, race, or sexuality.
